H. Kathy Gaumer, MD, FACOG, Director of Functional Medicine

A board certified OB/GYN, Dr. Gaumer has been practicing since 1995.  She had a busy OB/GYN practice with Lawrence Memorial Hospital for 16 years.  She is currently an OB/GYN Hospitalist at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Kansas City.

Dr. Gaumer earned her undergraduate degree in Cellular Biology at KU and went on to attend medical school at the University of Kansas Medical center.  Dr. Gaumer performed her residency at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.  Dr. Gaumer is a proud Kansan and a passionate Jayhawk Alumni.

As an OB/GYN, Dr. Gaumer has prescribed Hormone Replacement Therapy regimens for her female patients for many years with only marginal results.   After significant research and training she now specializes in Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy.  Dr. Gaumer has been able to meet the complex hormone needs of her female patients utilizing bio-identical hormone recipes that provide symptom relief and safely advance overall patient health.  Dr. Gaumer also provides bio -dentical testosterone treatment for her male patients.  She is passionate about creating great health for her patients.  She views a healthy blood chemistry as the starting point.

Dr. Gaumer lives in Kansas City with her husband Doug and their two children Alexa and Austin. She loves the idea of making her patients Feel Better, Function Better and Look Better!

Kevin Witte, DO, MBA, Orthopedic Surgeon, Director of Regenerative Medicine

A native of Windsor, MO, Dr. Witte obtained his undergraduate degree from University of Missouri-Columbia. He attended medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and obtained an MBA from Rockhurst University at the same time. He completed a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the Andrews Research & Education Institute in Gulf Breeze, FL, working under the leadership of world-renowned orthopedic surgeon, Dr. James Andrews.

During his sports medicine fellowship, he learned the latest techniques in the treatment of knee injuries, elbow complications, and shoulder conditions in athletes of all ages, including ACL reconstruction, ACL revision, and UCL reconstruction (Tommy John).  Dr Witte also treats cartilage injuries and osteoarthritis of the knee, elbow, and shoulder and hip.

Dr Witte gained significant exposure and experience with Stem Cell Therapies from his mentor, Dr James Andrews.  The Andrews Research and Education Foundation is leading research work into Regenerative Medicine with a goal of making regenerative medicine and stem cell therapies more affordable and accessible for everyone.  Dr Witte leads the Stem Life team, instilling his knowledge, experience and passion for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Therapies.

Dr Witte is a total outdoorsman. He loves anything to do with being outside.  You could find him fly fishing in New Mexico, snowboarding in Jackson Hole or wake-surfing at Hillsdale Lake!  He enjoys spending time with his wife, his two sons and his baby girl.
