The Vampire FacialFree Consultation
What is the Vampire Facial?
If you’re hoping to minimize your facial lines and wrinkles but don’t want surgery, there are other options! The Vampire Facial uses PRP, Platelet Rich Plasma, from your own blood to help rejuvenate the skin. It triggers collagen production by stimulating the body’s natural wound-healing response to help improve lines and wrinkles, acne scarring as well as the overall tone and texture of the skin.
Collagen is the latticework or support of the face, so a PRP-microneedling treatment helps improve the skin by using the body’s own healing cells. As seen used by Kim Kardashian and other celebrities, the Vampire Facial one of our most popular facials right now due to the dramatic healing and rejuvenation of the skin.
What you need to know
PRP facials are both medical and cosmetic.
Your provider draws your blood and spins it in a centrifuge to extract the platelets. Platelets are a natural part of our blood clotting system. PRP has been used for years in Wound Healing, Orthopedics, and Dermatology.
It’s the high amount of growth factors in PRP that helps your body heal.
There is no chance of an allergic reaction because It’s Your Own Blood!
Benefits of Vampire Facial
A vampire facial can be useful for those who have scars, wrinkles, or sun damage. By introducing PRP back into the skin, cell turnover is encouraged, which leads to an increase in collagen and elastin production.
Your skin will look smoother, tighter, and fuller.
This treatment can be combined with neurotoxins, like Botox or Dysport, or dermal fillers, like Juvaderm or Restylane, to give an even more dramatic result!
How does it work?
Microneedling is exactly what it sounds like — a procedure that creates a series of tiny, superficial punctures in the skin using tiny sterile needles. But don’t worry! We numb you up by applying topical numbing cream before starting the procedure. The PRP is then spread onto the surface of the skin by your provider and is deeply absorbed into the microchannels.
Both PRP and Microneedling stimulate collagen growth so you get double the results with this one treatment! The best results are achieved with a series of 3-4 treatments spaced about 4-6 weeks apart.
What to expect after treatment
If you decide to have a PRP facial, be prepared to have your blood drawn.
You can expect some redness and swelling for several days afterward.
Some people may have some bruising from the procedure but this is fairly uncommon. This procedure is safe for all skin types and ethnicities.
The procedure is contraindicated for those on blood thinners or those that have other blood-related health issues.
The providers of the Vampire Facial at Regain have all been certified by the Cellular Medicine Association and perform the procedure the exact same way as the inventor intended it to be done. That is why we can call our treatment “Vampire Facial”.
